Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
Extremely disappointed in the portion size of my steak tips, not to mention the child's palm size of mashed potatoes and chewy overcooked steak. We also had a piece of bacon that was burnt and too hard to bite. We have pictures.

I am a senior citizen, now 82 years old. I depend on local restaurants for my meals, which I order online.
My caregiver picks them up for me. I was so displeased with the latest meal from March 24, 2024, I posted a picture of it on Facebook - attached. My emails about the horrible service at this location have gone ignored for too long. I received an email in March of a new offering which looked great on the ad.
I decided to get it on a Sunday. The photo shows what I received along with a copy of the ad photo. I threw the meal in the trash.
I will never buy at this location again. Maybe someone at the home office will care what this location calls service.

Verified ReviewerJust ate at Bob Evans and although the food and service was good my husband and I were charged for 4 cups of coffee @ 3.09 a cup. When we asked why we were charged for 4 cups.
My husband and I each ordered a coffee but were charged for 4 cups. When we asked why we were told refills werent free but the waitress only topped our mugs off we didnt even get an entire second mug.
Totally unacceptable and we wont be back. Good way to rip people off and boost the waitresses check for a larger tip!

Add fresh banana slices at serving time not at the time of preparing the other fruits. A cup is a cup not 1/4 cup when it comes to soup.

Ordered curb side service via phone then waited 30 minutes after our pick up time. Went into pick up order it was just sitting on the counter.

A visit for breakfast on July 8 was terrible. There were four of us.
Two people ordered decaffeinated coffee. We were told there would be a 25-minute wait for it to be made. There was no problem at that point. However, they refused to take our food order until everyone had their drinks.
When I mentioned this was absurd, a manager opened her hand in my face and said, 'Sorry you feel that way.' I am okay with the policy of delivering drink orders and then taking food orders.
But when there was such a long wait for drinks, our food order should have been taken. The manager was extremely rude.

I called when I got home and saw I had no biscuits with the order? Just gravy??
She said it's because I got toast which I've always gotten also and it even says so on they're menu?? Why would I pick the the breakfast with biscuits and gravy if I didn't want biscuits??? unbelievable!

On the morning of May 11, 2024, approximately 9:00 AM, my wife called the Bob Evans Restaurant at New Philadelphia, Ohio. She ordered a family size pot roast dinner as advertised on their Website.
The man she talked to was curt, and became rude. The order was to be picked up later in the morning. The meal was to be a Mothers Day gift for my wife.
At the requested time of 11:00 for pick up, the restaurant was quite busy, and I waited for the order to be assembled. When the order was presented to me, I paid with a $50 gift certificate, and $12.94 on a credit card..
I left the restaurant and proceeded home with my wife. This is a 20 mile trip one way. (Eventually we drove 80 miles because of this transaction.)
Upon arrival at our home, we unpacked the order. All seemed to be in good order until we got to the container with what meat was provided.
The family meal is advertised to serve 6 people. This container was half carrots, and a portion of meat. My wife believes, after looking at the menu, that the carrots and meat were a single pot roast meal. A meal for ONE PERSON.
Carrots were not in the advertisement for the family dinner. In addition, there was no gravy as advertised with the family meal, the lettuce in the salad was wilted, and contained soaked crutons.
I immediately called the restaurant, and requested to speak to the manager. I informed whoever responded, of the situation, and informed him I was coming back to the restaurant to resolve the situation. Another round trip of 40 miles.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, I spoke to an assistant manager and requested to speak to the manager.
I was denied access to the manager. I explained the situation to this assistant manager, offering the deficient container for inspection. He declined to inspect the container stating he believed me. He offered to provide additional meat to compensate for the deficiency.
The container he presented still did not contain the meat as advertised on the Website. He advised me that the amount was consistent with the way Bob Evans portions their meat.
Another man joined the discussion, I assume the manager. He bragged that I was receiving an additional two portions of meat free, because of the meat already received. He initially advised me that my statement that the family meal was advertised to serve six, was in error.
That the family meal served 3-4, and that the catering menu stated 6-8 servings. I retrieved my telephone, pulled up the Website, and showed him he was in error, that the family meal was indeed advertised to serve 6. He repeated that I was getting two servings free, because of the meat already received.
I informed the two men that my wife and I would never again patronize Bob Evans, and left. As I was leaving, I was verbally attacked by a bystander who had no knowledge of the transaction.
The person I assume was the manager, came over, and asked the interloper to stand down. I left.
Given the distance I traveled, the grief that was inflicted on my wife and me, two very meager portions of meat, does not begin to cover our damages. Never was apology offered during this incident.
Bob Evans would roll in his grave if he saw how his customers are being treated. In searching the Internet, I see that my wife and I are not the only people being treated this way.

I visited the Bob Evans location in Moon Township, PA, last night for dinner. The restaurant was absolutely filthy!
The food was below standard and mediocre. I ordered the new turkey sandwich which arrived without any mayonnaise and pickles.
I was also informed that my drink did not come with free refills. I used to love this restaurant, but I will never go there again mainly due to the dirty conditions.

Sexual Employees
This is a great location at third ave huntingtion wv but when I go for a date night with my husband and a show I dont mean dinner and watching two of their employees making out hot and heavy on the benchs outside completely unprofessional and theres a time and place for that! This has happened more then once!

Took my 3-year-old to eat a Bob Evans and I got a carry out order. Every single bit of it except for the roles in the gravy was horrible or potatoes wasn't even done!
They still had a lot of time left if they needed to be cooked to be done. The rest of the food was just plain nasty. So I contacted customer relations and they apologize to me for my experience told me that they was going to send me a gift card so that my next visit with my daughter would be taken care of for the inconvenience and my experience. And I even have all the emails to prove this and I never received a gift card.
I told them numerous times that there was an apartment number included in my street address and they still sent the card to the street address with no apartment number on it so the post office told me personally that if they did that the card got sent back to them. I hope that that makes them feel better to know that you're taking a single mother's money that couldn't afford it in the first place I just wanted to give my little girl a treat and I just after that experience I pretty much feel robbed of my money because of the way that the food was that I ordered I don't even think I would call it food. I understand that they get busy okay if you get busy tell your customers that tell them it's going to be a while longer on your order because we want to give it to you completely done we don't want to give it to you halfway done and have you chew on crunchy potatoes. We don't want to give you cold food when it's supposed to be warm.
Even though that's what your money pays for we're not going to give that to you, and when you message customer relations back about your address and they ignore you that really makes me want to go back to Bob Evans and buy more food. It's disgusting I pretty much spent the money that I had on my three year old to eat and she didn't even get to eat it like I said Bob Evans to us that's a big treat because I'm poor dirt poor and you took my money!! Actually you took my 3-year-old's money it was a treat for her not me I could care less about myself. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves for serving food like that and then lying and saying you're sending the gift card which you knew it was going to get kicked back to you (even if you really did send it in the first place because I don't believe that you did; not the way with customer service was treating me throughout the whole ordeal) which did you got sent back to you and instead of sending it out to me at the right address you just say forget it we don't care!
I don't believe they sent it out in the first place I truly don't! So once again thank you Bob Evans for serving us nasty food that was undercooked and cold, and thank you for pretty much stealing my money, and thank your customer relations team for their good job on deceitful practices and rudeness they need to take a course on interpersonal communication, and how not to lie and not to ignore someone!
