Bob Evans Restaurants - Poor Restaurant Service Review from Hudson, Florida

Went out to dinner at Bob Evans on 09/27/14@6:00 pm. The service was poor. There was four of us and 3 of us got your combo soup and sandwich. We eat at a lot of Bob Evans and have been very happy with Bob Evans. The waitress brought our soup out and a half hour later asking for our sandwiches she finally brought them to us. My husband ordered a bowl of chili and we had to ask for that. Never was ask for refills on our drinks. The service was very poor. Never ask if we wanted dessert. Hot Chocolate Review

This is the second time I get a hot chocolate to go, and it is awful.. Nothing like the one you get when dinning in... I am paying my money to get it. It is not free, so if you are going to give me ***. Let me know it. Why is the hot chocolate to go different from the one to get IN the restaurant?... Im super ***... I just throw it to the sink! Thanks for ruining my night!

Family Meals | Bob Evans Restaurants review from Camden, Delaware

I ordered carry out over the phone. Clearly stated that I wanted the Roast Beef family meal for $19.99 with mashed potatoes and gravy as a side. This particular Bob Evans Restaurant gave me POT ROAST in error. Discovered their mistake when I got home and I really didn't feel like returning to the restaurant for them to correct their error. Since we have been regular dine-in and dine-out customers for the past ten years, to include breakfasts, lunches and dinners I am very disappointed with the service provided by this Bob Evans. Bob Evans doesn't have a "roast beef" meal. Having worked at several different Bob Evans' for the past 5 years, I should know this.

Bob Evans Restaurants - Slow Service Review

Last Saturday my wife and I went to Bob Evans on Stage Rd near the Wolfcchase Galleria. We arrived around 9:30am and were told there would be a 20 minute wait. After waiting 35 minutees I cheked to see how far we were from the top of the list. I was told that their computer system was down and they had no idea when it would back up. We waited another 20 minutes and then I asked to speak withe manager. He was very courteous and offered to seat us but he didn't know when the sytem would be back up. I asked about just using paper to write down orders until the system could be brought. WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT HE SAID. My question is why wouldn't a corporation have a back up plan for system failure? On the plus side, the food was great & the employees were very courteous. They obviously have a backup plan for system failures: tell customers if will be a while. To revert to pen and paper would create sheer havoc for the waitstaff and the kitchen.

And how would customers pay? It would be cash only and most use debit or credit cards. Either wait for the system to go back up or go somewhere else and eat.

Businesses do not plan on system failures and as hurt as your feelings must be that you can't order your pancake and sausage special, deal with it. The restaurant was having to!

Service | Bob Evans Restaurants review from Midland, Michigan

My husband and I stopped for dinner. We ordered and it took forever, the steak was burnt. The waitress was very slow, when we were done with dinner it took over 10 minutes to get our dessert, we also order soup to go, it also took forever, and she than had to re-calculate the bill because we order pumpkin bread and she had pie instead. Very unhappy with waitress. It took over 45 minutes to get our meal. We usually are very happy with the food and service but lately it is really bad service. Poor pancakes/poor response from MGR. | Bob Evans Restaurants review

my wife and i visits bob evans,at st lucie west for breakfast at least once a month for the last 10 years,last sat.13th sept.2015.we went to have our usual b/fast,my pancakes came and the color was not right the waitress agreed and took it back to the kitchen,when she returned it look better but it tasted crunchy like crackers.the waitress had the manager removed the charges off the bill.the manager never came to my table and apologizsed she was at the register when i paid the bill,i mentioned it nicely still no apology. I left annoyed and wont be going back.
